Docker VMM Public Beta: A Complete Overhaul, Built for Performance

Docker released the public beta of Docker VMM, a fully rebuilt, first-party hypervisor replacing the third-party virtual machine monitor that had powered Docker Desktop's Linux VM since inception, available with no waitlist on Docker Desktop v4.86+.
It delivers faster container startup, significantly faster container-to-host file I/O, smarter memory reclamation, and improved Windows stability. The same unified virtualization engine also powers Docker Sandboxes.
