Git 2.56.0 Released
By BIOS Founding Team

Git 2.56.0 is the first feature release since 2.55.0. The headline is git add --resolved, which stages only still-unmerged paths, and which stages nothing if any leftover conflict markers remain.
Other additions include git branch --delete-merged, new git refs create, update, delete and rename subcommands, an experimental git history drop, git replay --linearize and git bisect run --reset-when-found. git log --follow now tracks renames per parent, and -h and --help now exit with 0 instead of 129.
