This Windows-distribution release switched the installer to a 64-bit executable, upgraded the underlying MSYS2 runtime to one based on Cygwin v3.6.10 with OpenSSH v10.5.P1, and fixed a long-standing bug where Git Bash's screen cleared after git.exe invoked vim for commit-message editing.
It also dropped support for Windows 8.1, following MSYS2's own platform deprecation.
