Linux Kernel 7.1 Released

Torvalds released 7.1 as a standard feature release, pulling in nearly 13,000 changesets from over 2,000 developers. Its headline feature is a from-scratch rewrite of the in-kernel NTFS driver after years of development.
The release also enables Intel FRED by default, speeds up Intel Arc and older AMD Radeon graphics, and removes i486 support along with roughly 140,000 lines of legacy code.
