Node.js January 2026 Security Releases

Node.js published a security release across the 25.x, 24.x, 22.x, and 20.x lines addressing eight vulnerabilities, including three high-severity issues: a timeout-based race condition exposing uninitialized memory, a filesystem permission-model bypass via crafted symlinks, and an HTTP/2 server crash from malformed HEADERS frames.
The release also bundled dependency upgrades to c-ares and undici.
